Volunteer for Vision Care for Homeless People

Leeds Optometrist Recruitment Poster 2022

VISION CARE FOR HOMELESS PEOPLE  are seeking volunteer optometrists to perform eye tests for homeless people in Leeds.
The clinic runs on either a Monday or Wednesday from 9.30AM to 2.30PM at St. George’s Crypt Homeless Centre. Volunteering just a few times a year is a great help.

Vision Care for Homeless People runs opticians services within homeless day centres across England providing tests and glasses free of charge for anyone who is homeless, vulnerable or without means. As of Monday 2nd August 2021 the ophthalmology emergency advice/referral guidance line number (2065335) which was a temporary measure during COVID, will cease to exist as the service will be handed back to central PCAL i.e. pre-covid …
