We are seeking a talented and customer-focused Dispensing Optician to join our team. As a Dispensing Optician at Opticare Opticians you will play a key role in helping our patients select and fit eyewear that meets their vision needs and style preferences, as well as problem-solving and mentoring newer members of staff.

These KPIs may include: Sales targets for eyewear and lens options; Customer satisfaction scores and feedback; Staff productivity and efficiency metrics; Inventory turnover and management.

We offer a competitive salary package commensurate with experience and performance, along with opportunities for professional development and advancement within our organization. Salary: £24k-£37k depending on experience and qualifications with bonus structures in place.

Graham Coe / Langrick & Coe Optometrists and Opticians

We are seeking an enthusiastic Optometrist to join our team, to work between our Melton Mowbray and Oakham practices. Our patients expect a high level of professionalism delivered in a friendly manner, and so the candidate will require both excellent clinical and communication skills.

Eye examinations take up to 50 minutes and generally include Spectralis OCT, Daytona Optomap and Goldmann applanation tonometry. Refraction can utilise either a Topcon CV-5000 phoropter head or trial frame and lenses. We utilise the Optix practice management system, including the comprehensive, yet easy to use, clinical notes system.

Dispensing is overseen by our two qualified Dispensing Opticians. We are a Rodenstock centre of excellence and offer their B.I.G. vision technology to help give our patients their best possible vision.

You should recognise the importance of preventative healthcare and be able to communicate effectively the value of regular screening procedures. You should also have the confidence to recommend what is best for the patient, for them to achieve their best vision and maintain their eye health.

Special interests are encouraged, and it may be possible to extend one’s scope of practice if it complements the business’s directives. IP qualification is preferred, and our two other IP optometrists regularly have the opportunity to make extensive use of their skills.
