(SASH) Guidance for Community Optometrists Seeing Young Children

You may have recently seen an email sent to contractors regarding the Surrey and Sussex (SASH) guidance for community optometrists seeing young children.
We wish to inform you all that the content of the document does not have the approval of either Surrey or Sussex (East and West) Local Optical Committees and due to concerns regards its content both Surrey and Sussex LOCs request the recall of this advice and guidance with immediate effect.
We therefore request that all practitioners ignore the advice as it is presented in its present form.
Both Surrey and Sussex LOCs will be in contact with SASH to urgently discuss this matter and we will update you in due course.
