Welcome to the official website of the East Sussex Local Optical Committee (LOC). The East Sussex LOC is the official organisation that represents optical contractors and performers in East Sussex.

One of the main roles of the East Sussex LOC is to advise the local Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) on matters relating to general ophthalmic services in the area.

The purpose of this site is to provide optometrists, other health care practitioners and the general public with information on locally available eyecare provision.

OFNC Statement: NHS disregards evidence and imposes more real terms cuts on GOS

Today the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has confirmed it will impose yet more real terms cuts on NHS primary eyecare services.
