Vision Care for Homeless People (VCHP)

Dear All,
Vision Care for Homeless People (VCHP) is a national charity providing free NHS-regulated eye tests and glasses to those experiencing homelessness. We run fully equipped clinics across England and Scotland, including in London, Brighton, Edinburgh.
Our testing rooms are set up much like a high street optician, and optometrists are fully supported by an optical team including trained assistants and a Clinic Manager.
We don’t ask for a big commitment , volunteering just once a month can make a real impact. Travel costs are covered for all volunteers attending shifts, and we’re happy to offer a video tour or arrange a visit before your first clinic. Many volunteers find the experience hugely rewarding with zero commercial pressure. For patients, receiving glasses can be a powerful step toward rebuilding their lives.
