Participants for PhD project

23 June 2022

We have been asked to circulate an enquiry for an optometry student to help him with his PhD project.  Further details can be found below.

Hello,

I hope this email finds you well. I am Wan Elhami Wan Omar, PhD Optometry student from The University of Manchester. I am writing this email to enquire regarding recruiting the UK practicing optometrists as participants for my PhD project.

I am conducting a study investigating optometrists’ perspectives, including their attitudes, readiness, and training needs towards engaging with myopia control. I am going to do a focus group discussion session with the UK practicing optometrists. There will also be a survey that I would like to distribute to all optometrists in the UK. I have advertised my project on the LOCSU website and through the College of Optometrists.

Apart from LOCSU and the College of Optometrists, I would like to enquire if you could help me to advertise both of my projects through the regional LOC mailing lists. I hope to reach out to as many of the UK practicing optometrists as possible in this way too.

I would appreciate it if you could advise and assist me regarding this matter. I look forward to hearing from you, and thank you for all your help.

Kind regards,

Wan Elhami Wan Omar
