Walsall Electronic Referral System (EeRS) Updates
Walsall LOC has reached out to all practices in regards to EeRS implementation since May 2023. We have contacted all multiples’ head offices as well. EeRS is going to replace the Gos 18 and how we presently refer our patients to GPs and to Eye Hospitals.

EeRs is being delivered by a web based software company Cinapsis.

1) Checking your IT meets the minimum requirements, see the above link.
2) Check your practice data protection on status is up to date – Your DSPT must be to 23/24 or 22/23 Standards. DSPT is easiest for you to keep up to date via the Quality in Optometry (QIO) portal used for GOS compliance.
3) Ensure your LOC has up to date contact information of your practice EeRS lead.
4) Check that your PMS link with the Cinapsis.
We will be beginning to ‘Go-Live’ and ‘On-board’ Walsall practices towards the end of February and early March 2024.
