Email Addresses on Emergency/Urgent GOS 18 Referrals

 UHS Eye Department have been in contact with the LOC wanting to improve the lines of communication between consultants and optometrists. They wish to be able to provide constructive feedback on referral letters. However, this has been limited due to optometrist’s email addresses not being included on the GOS 18 referrals as standard.

If you are referring to the UHS (emergency/urgent only) and would like the consultants to provide feedback, please write your email address on the GOS 18 referral letter. It is also important that you include that patient consent has been given regarding sharing personal data.
