Important update from the Committee – Hampshire LOC

Bryony Allen will be handing over chairship of the LOC to Beth Maunder from July

There is a new email address to contact the Chair as of now, chair@hampshireloc.org.uk

Bryony will be supporting Beth for 6 months in the background. Please contact us with this new email from here on. It would be helpful if you could share this with anyone else who may need to contact us

Ian Silk also retires this month and we are in the process of recruiting a new business manager to start in July. If you could also start to use the manager@hampshireloc.org.uk email address for the business manager that would be very helpful. Ian will also be supporting the new business manager for a few months

A message from LOCSU – QIO Survey

We are writing to invite feedback on Quality in Optometry (QiO), a bespoke quality assurance toolkit developed by the sector for the sector

QiO has been updated over the years and remains a useful tool for practices across England but is now due an upgrade. During 2025/26 the sector bodies and LOCSU are working together to review the platform with the aim to inform the development of a future platform next year. This review process will commence with a 3-week sector consultation to gain user experience

QiO users are invited to provide feedback using the survey no later than Sunday 6th July – here

LOCs are asked to pass the survey link to their members via their usual communication channels. Quality in Optometry remains active and will be updated to reflect the new NHS Standard contract in the coming months
