Issues with Egress Email accounts

Hampshire LOC has been receiving reports of issues with Egress emails, specifically referrals being rejected by HHFT and UHS as well as some GP practices.

The LOC is in communication with the ICB to try and resolve the matter by finding the root cause of the problem.

If you use Egress and have had recent email rejections as mentioned above, we would like to hear from you

Please let us know by emailing our Business Manager isilk@hampshireloc.org.uk with the following information;

  1. Who you are and what Egress email account you use
  2. Best email for ongoing contact
  3. Which practice/location you work at
  4. Which provider has rejected the Egress email
  5. Copy and paste any rejection emails into a Word document (removing any Patient Identifiable Data) and forward as above
  6. Provide any other information that may help with identifying the source of the problem
  7. Confirm whether or not you would be happy if required, to take part in a Teams webinar to work through the issue with the ICB and other users.

Please respond asap

In the meantime our advice is to follow local practice business continuity protocols which may involve routine referrals being sent by post, urgent and emergency referrals despatched as a hard copy with the patient, followed where possible with a phone call to the HES.

Expressions of Interest for WOPEC Glaucoma OSCES (and MECS)

Hampshire LOC is considering hosting WOPEC Glaucoma and possibly MECS OSCES subject to demand, possibly  in November 2024 and February 2025. The provision of these OSCES is free to optometrists working in Hampshire and Isle of Wight, but we need a good number of delegates to make the events cost effective.

If you would like to complete the Glaucoma OSCE  and/or MECS OSCE, please forward your name GOC number, and contact email address together with which OSCES you wish to complete to the LOC Business Manager isilk@hampshireloc.org.uk

Requests for WOPEC online module codes can also be sent to the above email address.
