East Surrey Hospital:

Optometrists wishing to refer their patient to East Surrey Hospital should email via the following email address:

The hospital accepts emergency referrals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from optometrists and GPs using the Emergency Referral Pro Forma form, please contact the department for a copy of the form if you have not referred before.  The clinic times are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm and the referrals are triaged within an hour, during clinic hours.

Your patient will be contacted directly so please ensure their contact details are clear to arrange either a telephone consultation or a face to face appointment as required.

To discuss urgent referrals or for advice during clinic hours please call and bleep – 01737 768511 bleep 296, for out of hours advice please contact the registrar on call for ophthalmology via the switchboard.
