LOCSU:

LOCSU is the Support Unit for Local Optical Committees.

LOCSU support LOCS in their role of enhancing eye care locally, through pathway development, governance, compliance and commissioning support and communication.  LOCSU also strive to influence nationally through lobbying and policy development, working in collaboration with a wide range of partners  across the optical and broader health care landscape.

LOCSU support LOCs in driving innovative thinking to tackle present and future challenges within the primary care sector to promote positive change and further enhancement of eye care.

LOCSU support LOCs with training and development to inspire, identify and develop the talent of today for the benefit of the optical sector tomorrow.  LOCSU supports LOC Induction training for new committee members, Leadership Skills for LOC officers as well as the wider eye care sector through WOPEC Clinical Training to support local pathway delivery.
