The session will explore patient safety within enhanced eye care services, where timely communication is vital.  Using three real world case studies of delayed referrals to examine the systemic hurdles and individual factors that can lead to patient safety risks and how practical strategies can be developed to ensure safe consistent care for all patients in line with GOC Standards of Practice.

This session will involve peer discussion breakout rooms so it is advised to join via a laptop or tablet with camera and microphone working.
