Groundbreaking Treatment to Restore Sight

Consultant Ophthalmologist Mr Neruban Kumaran of Epsom and St Helier Hospital is delighted to share the great news of groundbreaking treatments to save sight.
Epsom and St Helier have been working in collaboration with Great Ormond Street and Moorfields Hospital to develop innovative new treatments.
Catherine L’Estrange who was diagnosed as a baby with Bardet Biedl Syndrome which can result in the complete loss of sight by the late teens received a novel retinal gene therapy at St Helier hospital in August last year.
