Research Project Request
Workplace Wellbeing & Job Satisfaction Among UK Optometrists
Ben Ayliffe, an optometrist currently completing an MSc in Management at Keele University, is requesting support with a research study investigating workplace wellbeing, job satisfaction, and burnout among UK optometrists across all practice settings and career stages.
“I attended Ripon Grammar School, and my first role in the profession was at Harrogate Specsavers — a practice that, very meaningfully to my family, also identified retinal detachments in both my mum and grandma. Because of that, the area and the optometrists you represent mean a great deal to me, and I would be especially grateful if you would consider sharing the survey within your local network.
Despite growing international evidence of high levels of burnout among healthcare professionals, there remains a significant gap in UK-specific research on this topic in optometry. This study aims to help address that gap and contribute to a more sustainable future for the profession.”
Study Details:
- Format: Short, anonymous online questionnaire.
- Time Required: Approximately 10 minutes.
- Scope: Open to all UK optometrists across all career stages and practice settings.
- Study Background: Read more details via the Participant Information Sheet.
Even a few minutes of your time to complete or share the survey will make a meaningful contribution to this research.
