New Clinic Development Manager – North – 2 days/week – FTE £42,000

When people are affected by homelessness, they need glasses to look for work, find accommodation or simply to keep themselves safe, yet they face multiple barriers when it comes to obtaining sight tests, glasses and eye care. The charity, Vision Care for Homeless People (VCHP) runs professional eye care clinics from fully equipped eye testing rooms within homeless day centres staffed by volunteer optometrists, dispensing opticians and lay clinic assistants.

We are expanding our opticians’ service for people experiencing homelessness from 7 to 24 clinics over the next 5 years.

You can help people affected by homelessness to get the eye tests and glasses they need, by working for VCHP in the exciting new role of New Clinic Development Manager – North.

  • Setting up new volunteer led clinics within homeless day centres in your patch – Manchester to Scotland.
  • Lead, project manage, communicate and build teams.
  • Optical industry experience preferred or compliance responsibility from another field.
  • Work from home, part-time two days/week, FTE £42,000.

Our friends at Vivid Optical are helping us recruit for this exciting role.
