Avon LOC is pleased to partner with Sight Support West of England to deliver an important training session for eye care professionals: Sight loss awareness – how you can help.
This interactive lecture and discussion will equip attendees with the knowledge and confidence to better support patients experiencing sight loss in primary eye care settings.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Support patients in understanding their eye care journey and condition.
- Provide access to emotional and practical support.

- Recognise your role in the eye care support pathway.
- Identify the main causes of sight loss in the UK and groups most at risk.
- Offer effective support to patients experiencing sight loss or visual impairment.
