Welcome to Sight Support West of England
Supporting blind and partially sighted people across Bristol, BANES and South Gloucestershire
Why refer to us
Early non-clinical support makes a real difference for people who are newly losing their sight. It helps people feel informed, reassured and better able to manage daily life while waiting for clinical appointments. This aligns with the Eye Care Support Pathway and wider LOCSU priorities for consistent early support.
What we do
Sight Support West of England provides holistic, personalised support for blind and partially sighted people of all ages. Our team offers sight loss assessments, information and advice, equipment demonstrations, magnification and lighting guidance, emotional support, digital skills support, social and peer opportunities, and signposting to other services.
We work closely with NHS eye clinics, ECLOs and community partners, ensuring each person receives the right support at the right time.
