Welcome to Staffordshire LOC
Staffordshire Local Optical Committee (LOC) is the statutory NHS body representing local optometrists and dispensing opticians delivering General Ophthalmic Services (GOS) across the county. We are committed to supporting our members in maintaining and continually improving the high standards of eye care available to the people of Staffordshire.
We work closely with NHS partners, including NHS England Staffordshire & Shropshire and the Staffordshire Integrated Care Board, to support the development and delivery of community eye care services. Through training, guidance, and advocacy, we help ensure local optical professionals are equipped to meet the growing needs of the community.
Our website is a valuable resource for both eye care professionals and the public. Here, you’ll find information on careers in eye care, links to relevant organisations and charities, and practical advice on maintaining good eye health.
Please explore the site to learn more. If you have any questions, need further information, or have suggestions for additional content, we’d love to hear from you.
