Routine referral – Please refer on Cinapsis or via GP (preferably on Cinapsis)
Emergency referral – Emergency & urgent (<2 weeks). Email Hourly triage by nursing team.

Emergency out of hours & cannot wait until next working day:-
Telephone on-call ophthalmologist via switchboard 01223 245151 If unable to contact send to A&E with copy of referral
Wet AMD referrals
Please refer on Cinapsis or via e-mail to add-tr.amd@nhs.net (preferably on Cinapsis)
Cataract referrals and post-op forms
All cataract referrals and post-op forms to Addenbrooke’s need to be submitted via an accredited optometrist on Cinapsis

Cataract referrals
All cataract referrals to Hinchingbrooke need to be submitted directly via an accredited Optometrist, otherwise the referral would need to be submitted via GP

Accepts referrals for cataract surgery, YAG, glaucoma, oculoplastics and general ophthalmology

Cinapsis
Electronic referral system where referrals can be sent to Addenbrookes, Hinchingbrooke or PCH hospitals directly. An account with Cinapsis is required to refer via this system.
