The below is a repeat of the session we ran on Tuesday 5th May, for those who missed the session.

The Professional Development and Quality Teams at Primary Eyecare Services are pleased to invite you to an interactive discussion workshop exploring the complexities of patient safety within enhanced eye care services. In clinical practice, timely communication is vital.

This session uses three real-world case studies of delayed referrals to examine both the systemic hurdles and individual factors that can lead to patient safety risks.

Together, we will reflect on current referral practices, share peer-to-peer learning, and develop practical strategies to ensure safer, more consistent care that aligns with GOC Standards of Practice.

Event Details:

Tuesday, 19th May 2026 from 7pm – 8:15pm via Zoom. There are 3 Interactive Points available (Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians).

Update: Frimley ICB Enhanced Cataract Referral Service Pathway for Hampshire Patients
