Cataract Post-op Accreditation – May Webinar
Cataract Post-op Accreditation Webinar
Wednesday 24th May 2023 | 6:30 – 9pm
SpaMedica is currently the number one provider of cataract surgeries for NHS patients in the UK; with Forty-Seven hospitals based across the North West, the Midlands, Yorkshire, the South East and the South West.
A key part of our cataract service is being able to offer our patients the opportunity to have their cataract post-operative assessment at their referring optician’s practice – 73% of our patients’ post-op assessments are booked in and managed by more than 5,000 accredited community optometrists.
The feedback we receive from our accredited partner optometrists is overwhelmingly positive and the main benefits of becoming accredited are:
- Short waiting times for your NHS patients
- Our team of experts supporting you with ophthalmic and referral queries
- Two CPD points for attending SpaMedica’s cataract post-op training event
- 24hr patient helpline for referral and treatment queries
- Patients are returned back to community optometrists quickly after surgery
- Regular communication about patients sent to you, throughout their treatment journey
Our accreditation evening runs from 6.30pm to 9.00pm. SpaMedica is registered with the GOC as a CPD provider and you will receive two interactive CPD points for attending our Cataract Post-op Accreditation session.
You will need to have been qualified for a minimum of one year to be eligible to become a SpaMedica Cataract Post-op Accreditation Partner.
If you are already accredited to our post-op scheme, then attending this session is not mandatory, but you are welcome to book a place for a refresher and receive two CPD points.
