CPD title: Ultra-Widefield, Autoflourescentand OCT Multo Modal Retinal Imaging Supporting the Ultimate Eye Examination

CPD Description:The lecture informs as to the meaning of UWF imaging as opposed to widefield imaging as now formally defined and accepted worldwide

The lecture informs as to what autofluorescent imaging is and how it is created, looking at the anatomy and physiology that allows for AF imaging. It looks at the difference between structural and functional imaging and how AF will often show a clinician retinal changes in the very earliest stages before any structural deficit has occurred allowing for earlier diagnosis.

The lecture looks at a series of cases showing how structural (colour), functional (AF) and multimodal (Inc. OCT) imaging bring together a full suite of imaging to allow for informed clinical decision making. The lecture consists of numerous images of different retinal conditions.

Target professional groups: Optometrist, Dispensing Optician

Number of CPD points: 1
