Berkshire LOC

Berkshire LOC is the statutory body set up by the NHS to support all optical staff delivering NHS services under a GOS contract in Berkshire.

The main role of the LOC is to work with local NHS commissioners to make community eye care services accessible to patients and cost effective for the NHS. The objective of this website is to provide eye care practitioners, other health care professionals and the public with information about all aspects of eye care provision available within Berkshire.

New OPERA Functionality: Updating Revised Referral Appointment Dates

We are pleased to inform you that practices and practitioners can now amend appointment dates for Post Cataract, Integrated Children’s Service, Glaucoma Monitoring, Pre Cataract Referral Services, MECS and Post Vision Screening referrals. This means that if a patient’s appointment needs to be rearranged, the updated date can be recorded and reflected on the system. …
