Routine referral guidelines – Waltham Forest

• The usual route for all referrals is via GP (GOS 18 or Equivalent).

• For a suspected glaucoma referral. This can be referred directly to the community glaucoma service (Complete Community Eyecare):

The service is open for new suspect glaucoma patients which can be sent via GOS 18/ letter via NHS email.

• For MECS there is a service provided by some participating practices in the area. This way you are able to refer a MECS patients to another practice in the area.
