About Us

The North East London LOC (NELLOC) is the statutory body that represents practitioners providing General Ophthalmic Services in the boroughs of Barking, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest.

Our aims are:

To inform, advise and negotiate with NHS England Area Teams, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Local Authorities and others on matters affecting or liable to affect local ophthalmic practitioners.

Work with optometry practices and partners  across the health system formulate collective views and develop ideas to improve eye health outcomes, reduce inequalities in the provision of care and deliver eye care services which meet local needs.
