NHS General Ophthalmic Services (GOS) Contract Applications London Region

From 16 September 2019 the NHS Business Services Authority (BSA) will be processing any new requests for GOS contracts on behalf of NHS England, London Region.

Providers wishing to apply for a GOS contract in London can do so through the BSA as follows:

Currently the above site is for London Region only, however, the BSA processes will be rolled out nationally in a phased approach so that there is one portal accessible by all and which provides advice, guidance and the necessary documentation required to make an application for a GOS contract.

Regional teams will advise of changes to their processes as they take place.

The standardization of this process will be beneficial in terms of consistency and transparency, particularly where providers are requesting more than one contract in different areas (eg corporate bodies and other independents) and where the relevant checks can be undertaken by one processing organization.

The NHS Business Services Authority is an agency working on behalf of NHS England and has been established for many years providing services to NHS contractors, patients and the public including prescription services, NHS dental services, NHS help with health costs etc.
