LATEST MECS PRACTICES AND HOW TO GET INVOLVED

2 April 2020

Following on from yesterday’s NHSE letter, I thought it’d be a good idea to provide  list of practices that are open for urgent care i.e. MECS in Derbyshire. There is a spreadsheet with up-to-date practice opening times and contact details on the COVID page. This is subject to change obviously (and wow are things changing quickly!), but should stay largely the same.

These practices are willing to assess patients for urgent eye issues. If your practice is not on the list and you would like to be open for MECS, please contact us at Derbyshire LOC or through Alex at alexnhow@hotmail.co.uk.

We are aware that a number of other practices will remain open for essential care (spectacle & CL replacements and repairs, GOS/other examinations where a delay would be detrimental to a patient’s sight or well-being etc).

Please keep us updated of any change to your circumstances.
