A huge thank you to everyone who attended the Surrey LOC AGM and CPD event last week.
We were treated to a hugely informative lecture by local ophthalmologist Mr Edward Lee on the anatomy of the macula combined with interpreting structural changes as seen on OCT and what to do about it, as well as exploring the effect of age on retinal tissues and vasculature and the resulting pathology.
The evening was an opportunity to share the work of the LOC and what is happening both locally and nationally within community optometry. As part of the meeting the new model constitution for Surrey LOC was voted and unanimously approved, the final document will be shared in the coming weeks.
