We are excited to announce the fifth webinar in our series interactive CPD Sprint for the Humber and North Yorkshire area.
These sessions will be a 1 and half hour webinar consisting of a presentation delivered by a local specialist and includes time for discussion.
Aftab is Head of Orthoptics at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust with wealth of experiencing in managing binocular vision issues in both adult and paediatric services.
The session will cover:

- Use of prisms in clinical practice
- Common presentations
- Broad patient groups
- Prescribing principals
- Case discussions

Learning outcomes from the session will be:

- Identify appropriate patients who may benefit from prisms based on symptoms and clinical findings
- Select and justify an appropriate prism type
- Recognise clinical situations where prism prescribing is inappropriate and referral is indicated
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding the benefits and limitations of Prism correction
- Demonstrate confidence in clinical decision making for prism prescribing
