Liverpool LOC have a new way of sharing updates via our WhatsApp Community group. This is suitable for Optometrists, Dispensing Opticians, Contact Lens Opticians and optical practices.
Announcements may include PCSE, PES schemes updates, CPD events, hospital updates and anything new happening around the Liverpool Optometry community. We anticipate only a handful of announcements per month.
Please note “Privacy on communities: Your personal messages and calls in communities are protected with end-to-end encryption. No one outside the chat, not even WhatsApp, can read, listen to, or share them.

Alder Hey Post-Vision Screening
Now Live: Alder Hey Children’s Post Vision Screening January 2026 Children aged 4-5 who fail their school vision screening test will now be asked to attend a community optometry practice. Practices will now start to receive referrals for the new Alder Hey Children’s Post Vision Screening (PVS) Service via OPERA.
