Low Vision services in Coventry and Warwickshire
We have collated a list of all the low vision services in the area with brief information on the services provided and how to refer. If you feel we have missed a service, please contact us and we will happily update this to include it.
NHS Low Vision Services
Provides specialist glasses, magnifiers, telescopes and other optical aids. Eye Clinic Liaison officer can also offer emotional support and refer to non-NHS providers.
UHCW or Rugby St. Cross – North Warwickshire, East Warwickshire and Coventry patients.
Stratford or Warwick Hospital – South Warwickshire patients.
GP or optometrist referral required, this will need to be done via Cinapsis.
Rehabilitation Services
This includes mobility training, long canes, life skills, bump ons etc.

Patients and their relatives can find support by meeting others with similar sight loss, helping them to make friends and build confidence.

Paediatric Services
These are council run services providing advice and recommendations on resources and adaptations for children with vision impairments, and specialist teaching support for sight-impaired students in mainstream/special schools. Advice is also shared with school settings and families.
