AGM 2026
22 April 2026
Notification of Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Buckinghamshire Local Optical Committee (LOC) will be held at 8.00pm on Thursday 30th April 2026 via Microsoft Teams. Members are encouraged to attend the meeting, where there will be opportunity to ask questions, vote on resolutions and for committee members. For those unable to attend, AGM papers will be circulated in advance and will also be available on the Bucks LOC website. Arrangements will also be in place to enable electronic voting, submission of questions, and nominations ahead of the meeting.
In accordance with the constitution, half of the elected committee members shall be local contractors (or their appointed representatives), and half shall be local performers. Elections take place at every AGM, and this year we will have four vacancies. Three of these arise from members reaching the end of their term of office (two performers and one contractor), all of whom have indicated their willingness to stand for re-election. A fourth vacancy has arisen following the resignation of a committee member for personal reasons. This vacancy is for a contractor representative, ideally from the Milton Keynes area. Please note that only contractors and performers working in Buckinghamshire or Milton Keynes are eligible to vote.
Papers will be posted on this page as they become available, and these will include the: 2025 minutes; 2026 agenda; Chair’s report; Treasurer’s report; Income and Expenditure account (year ending 31 Jan 2026); committee nomination papers. Within the agenda, you will find this year’s resolutions and the link to the online voting form.
At the AGM, members will be asked to approve the adoption of the latest model constitution, as recommended by LOCSU. A copy of the proposed constitution is available here for advanced review.
Completed nomination papers should be returned to the LOC secretary by 12th April 2026, after which the names of nominees will be circulated. If you wish to be nominated for a position on the committee and would like further information, please contact the LOC secretary via email on buckslocinfo@gmail.com
